Get to France
As you might already guess from the title, we made a little trip to France! First we spent two nights in Paris (no, NOT one night in Paris, what a pitty!)
by the banks of the Seine at night:
Notre Dame:
Birds are evil:
already preparing for retirement:
funny person watching the traffic in Montmatre. i couldn't actually find out what he was doing exactly - besides reading the newspaper... if you have a hint for me, tell me ;)
the interior of our hotel in Montmatre, next to Moulin Rouge. it looked a bit like a maison de plaisir and our tiny room had a huge mirror right next to the bed... *ggg*
one of the mills in Montmatre:
Montmatre:
an ad in a metro station for some coffee. it was so funny that i had to buy it. guess what, it works - at least, i do NOT look like that guy after drinking it, hehe!
the Eiffel tower and me (in memoriam of my bonnet, which i lost in Rennes...)
have a break, have a biiig break... after all we're here for holidays and not for fun:
the cathedral of Saint Malo, Brittany!
a breizh arrangement ;)
the port of Saint Malo:
the quai at low tide:
due to the warm weather we even fancied taking a bath at the outdoor swimming pool:
view from the castle to Saint Malo intra muros:

Hey there!
I loooove holidays! Above all the best thing about travelling is that one comes back relaxed and with a pleased smile and sometimes one is even a bit glad to be back "home" ;-)
Well, concerning that our trip was definitely too short, anyway.... I WANT TO GET BACK!! though I acknoweledge that I will never be good at French (and they don´t help you much either, eh?)
Bye, bye France!
Heippa!
there is only one believable explanation for the behaviour of the chair-guy: he must be an (european) ethnologist!
It wouldn't have been an annoyance if you would have mentioned your absolute "besuchenswert" earlier... ;-)
Kaarin (die beinahe-Lappin)
"besuchenswert", worth visiting is of course your WEBLOG- as well as Paris
