once upon a time there were some students of european ethnology (cultural anthropology) travelling to berlin city... (warning: this time there'll be loads of photos!)


they had a pretty good time exploring Berlin City:

but after staying 10 days in this buzzing city, they felt like having a good coffee and a rest




...and so they travelled back to Austria where they are living now happy ever after =^+^=

Snow in August

Hiyah, did i already note that my blog has already grown 1 year old? can't believe it, time flies by as you know... three hoorays and now back to topic:
yesterday we had 6 °C in Innsbruck (just imagine!), so we're now able to admire snow-covered mountains. - And never fail to think, there can't be snow in August...

A lovely day for a jungle tour

Life in Innsbruck grew so boring, so i decided to take a tour to the jungle!
there we found a monkey whom to feed:


sometimes you need a secret place to hide, to watch the world from above or from a different angle...


but just be carefull not to lose yourself in daydreaming cuz the jungle might become dangerous!

What's that?

well, today i had a date with my plumber (oooh yeah!) who had a close look at my bath's hot water tank. first he had to remove a wooden cover which was built around it by a former hirer. and which we saw then was beyond anyone's imaginations:


this is an antique hot water tank, about 30 or 40 years old which now has to me removed cuz there aren't any spare parts available anymore. so, this means i'll see my plumber till the end of the week - if that doesn't sound like the beginning of a passionate romance... ;P
btw: this water tank must have been so rare that even my plumber took a photo for himself of it!

Misty Mountains

hey folks, just wanna show you what weather we have here in the alpine region: bad bad weather with rain showers all day long *yawning*


and d'you know what's best about it? my bath's hot water tank broke down last weekend and the plumber can only come as soon as next wednesday due to a public holiday... so this means for me following dr. kneipp (for those who never heard of him: his "kneipp-treatments include bathing in cold water) and hoping i won't catch a flu... fu**sh***!!!

Even if you aren't able - due to several reasons - to go on holidays, i've found a practical method of getting relief from this heat:



simply put your hot feet into the next fountain round the corner ;)



it is fun - try it! all tourists will take souvenir-photos of you, since your are a "unique native"... hahaha!

well, but finally - after about 3 hours out in the heat and after defending ourselves against aggressive fireflies - we visited everything there is in Park Nymphenburg! Hip hip hooray!


... isn't that nice of munich? at least someone does!

everybody's in a stress these days - me too, hard to believe - and we're all waiting for better days, which are in this case SUMMER HOLIDAYS!!! whooo-hoo! but there's a long long road to go till we reach this bright goal. but hey, don't worry folks - meanwhile we won't have any tedium (ooh, what an advantage) and of course our favourite distraction called football world championship... and bad weather anyway! hey, i'm just checking for myself that life is good as it is, even if it may be hard to believe after all... ;)
